18 years at the same job
18 years at the same job. Hates it.
BUT $250k/yr. Main income. Newborn.
Should she quit??
She did.
After just one coaching session.
Why?
She decided to believe in her own value.
--
BEFORE:
She was miserable.
Overworked at a toxic company.
Her husband didn't have a reliable income
Newborn daughter at home
But she LOVED what her HUGE salary enabled for her family
(Bonus: she's in a very affordable city)
So she refused ALL the job offers she got.
Why?
She didn't believe she was worth the risk.
[SIDE NOTE: this is super common with South Asian women - we're amazing at self-sacrificing for the good of the family...and it's our super power (except for when it's not...)]
--
One coaching session. That's all it took.
We worked on one thing:
Inner confidence
And she quit her 17-year job.
--
But that's not the end of story.
Here's what happened next:
She accepted the first offer that came.
But two sessions later, turned it down (WITH NOTHING IN HAND!!)
She started believing she deserved better
And within WEEKS, found her dream job
(in the current market!)
--
The result?
She's doubled her compensation.
Actually enjoys her work....AND...
Sets boundaries to be present for her kid.
The shift wasn't learning WHAT to want.
It was believing she DESERVED to get it.
